Child Safety Standards

Gabberhood prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in every form. This includes, without limitation:

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — sexual imagery of anyone under 18, whether real, AI-generated, drawn, or otherwise depicted.
• Sexualization of minors — sexual comments about a minor's body, appearance, or sexual attributes.
• Grooming — building trust with or influencing a minor for sexual purposes.
• Sextortion — threatening or coercing a minor using sexual images or information.
• Self-generated sexual content of minors — prohibited even when shared by the minor themselves.
• Trafficking — advertising, facilitating, or soliciting the sexual exploitation of a minor.
• Solicitation — requesting sexual content from or sexual contact with a minor, or directing users elsewhere for any of the above.

Such content is removed, the account responsible is suspended, and we report it to the relevant authorities where the law requires. Content that sexualizes a minor is not restored on appeal.

Every post, comment, and image on Gabberhood is screened by AI classification before it is widely shown, and reported content is reviewed again. Content classified as sexual content involving a minor is removed and the posting account is suspended automatically. Each case is placed in our urgent safety queue for review by a person.

We preserve the records associated with a case and refer it to law enforcement and to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where the law requires. Our Content Policy and Terms of Service describe our moderation and enforcement process more broadly.

In the app, open the menu on any post or comment, choose Report, and select the Child safety reason. Reports are anonymous and are reviewed against these standards.

You can also email safety@gabberhood.com with “CHILD SAFETY” in the subject line. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.

In the United States, you can report directly to the NCMEC CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org. Elsewhere, INHOPE lists the hotline for your country.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Gabberhood, and under 18 only with a parent or guardian's consent, as set out in our Terms of Service. Accounts we find belong to children under 13 are removed and their data deleted, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Law enforcement agencies can reach us at legal@gabberhood.com. We respond to valid legal process, and to emergency disclosure requests where there is a risk of serious harm to a child.

Gabberhood complies with applicable child safety laws, including United States federal law (such as the reporting obligations in 18 U.S.C. § 2258A), applicable state and international law, the Google Play Child Safety Standards policy, and the Apple App Review Guidelines. We review these standards at least once a year.
