Content Policy

We use a combination of AI-powered tools and human review to moderate content:

1. Every post and comment is checked by AI against our policies before it is widely shown
2. If it violates our guidelines, it may be removed or hidden
3. When the AI is unsure, or content is reported as a serious safety concern, a person reviews it
4. The author is notified when content is removed
5. Repeated violations may result in account restrictions
6. Deleting something after it was taken down does not close the matter. A person may still review it from the copy we keep, and a violation they confirm counts as it would have

Our goal is to be fair and transparent. We aim to protect the community while respecting free expression.

If you believe your content was removed in error, you can tell us why:

1. Go to the removed content notification
2. Click "Appeal this decision"
3. Provide context for why you believe the removal was incorrect

You'll get a reply. Appeals are recorded and help us improve our content policies; submitting one doesn't reopen the decision.

If you see content that violates these guidelines, please report it:

1. Tap the three-dot menu on the post or comment
2. Select "Report"
3. Choose the reason that best describes the violation
4. Say what is wrong with it, in a sentence or two (you can skip this for a child-safety concern)
5. Submit the report

Reported content gets a second look from our AI, which can remove it. The AI reads what reporters wrote as claims to check against the content, not as proof. If many of the people who saw something report it, the AI looks again. Content can then be taken down even when the AI finds no broken rule in it: when reporters describe a harm the content itself could not show, or when enough of the people who saw it keep reporting it. Content taken down that way waits for a person to decide whether it comes back, and does not count against its author unless a person confirms it. Every report of a child-safety concern goes to a person.

You can also report a person who posts under a name, for how they behave across their posts or for their username: choose "Report" followed by their name in the same menu. That report goes to a person once several people have made one, and takes nothing down on its own. To report a child-safety concern, report the post or comment itself.

Reports are anonymous. The person you reported will not know who reported them or what you wrote.

You can block the author of any post or comment from its three-dot menu. What a block does depends on whether the author shows a name:

• A named author: you stop seeing every post and comment under that name.
• If they change their username and keep their posts under the new one, the block goes with them. If they release their posts as anonymous instead, what they post afterwards starts fresh.
• They also stop seeing what you post under your name, and can't reply to it.
• An anonymous author: that post or comment is hidden, along with anything that person posts anonymously from then on. What they posted earlier stays.

A block never connects an anonymous post to a named profile, and the person you block is not told. Our moderators can see blocks: when several people block the same person, or someone keeps writing to a person who blocked them, a moderator can look. You can see and undo your blocks in Settings, under Blocked.
