Diwali Fest NJ is back at the Memorial Park Amphitheater on Saturday the 17th, 2 to 6, free. Indian food and vendors, dhol, Rutgers Raag and a bunch of local dance groups, plus henna and face painting for the kids. It ends with the community lamp lighting around 5:45 and sparklers at 6, which is the part worth staying for.

Rain date is Sunday the 18th if Saturday is a washout. Ninth year for this one, and about 1,500 people came last year, so the amphitheater at Dunnell Road should be full of light.
