the other number in that report: median sale price in the newark market was about $614k. that's the whole metro mixed together, so it doesn't tell you much about what a house off the boulevard or in millburn actually goes for.

renting here and watching this with mild interest. does "newark metro" in that stat include maplewood/millburn, or is it getting dragged down by towns with nothing in common with us?
